In 1906, August Eberstein Haumburg returned from America with a new idea: the Montblanc pen.
The fountain pen was a major challenge. It was the story of three entrepreneurs, an innovative pen, and no idea for a name. Their inspiration: where to find it, from the blank page to the snow-capped mountains. And so, Montblanc was created.
The three pioneers who founded the company remain open to the world. A strong heritage of the brand: Montblanc writing instruments are made in Hamburg, Montblanc leather goods in Florence, and watches are made in Switzerland, in Villeret or Le Locle. Montblanc
