The story of the Riviera collection

The history of Baume & Mercier begins in 1830. Brothers Louis-Victor and Célestin Baume opened a watchmaking shop in Les Bois in the Swiss Jura.

The Baume Brothers ' company quickly grew in size and, true to its motto "Leave nothing to chance, only manufacture watches of the highest quality", built a fine reputation through the creation of exceptional pieces incorporating cutting- edge innovations .

Born in 1973 , the Riviera watch revives the spirit of an inspiring era in watchmaking this year. Here it is in 2021 in its authentic version: a generously sized steel case , a dodecagonal bezel secured with four screws , an integrated interchangeable steel bracelet , and the prestigious Baumatic manufacture caliber – the Riviera 10616 is the quintessential Swiss watch . The original design remains, as does the desire to adapt to the times.

The new Riviera watches also benefit from the ingenious Fast Strap interchangeability system developed by Baume & Mercier, which allows you to change the flexible or steel strap in seconds. It's child's play!
