A DIVE INTO THE PAST

The Black Bay is rooted in the brand's history. Paying homage to the design choices that gave rise to TUDOR line Black Bay has always showcased iconic elements from earlier TUDOR dive watches, but the Black Bay 54 is perhaps the most faithful model created to date. TheOyster Prince Submariner reference 7922 is a powerful source of inspiration, as it is known to have been evaluated and then adopted by the French and American navies and widely used by professional divers. Early versions of the reference 7922 featured a "small crown," but not the red triangle at 12 o'clock, which would later become a signature of the brand, giving it a cleaner, more uniform look. The Black Bay 54 stays true to this tradition. Indeed, the Black Bay 54 incorporates a number of design details that make all the difference. The hands, for example, in addition to their adjusted proportions, are narrower at the base, as on the 1954. The bezel has also been redesigned, with a revisited version of reference 7922. The Black Bay 54 nevertheless features decidedly modern touches, such as a subtly brushed satin-finished dial and a "T-fit" clasp for a perfect fit. And of course, the Manufacture Calibre MT5400, a marvel of technology.

THE MANUFACTURED CALIBER MT5400

The MT5400 Manufacture Calibre, which powers the Black Bay 54, displays the hours, minutes , and seconds. It features the typical finishes of Manufacture Calibres TUDOR , rotor monobloc tungsten while its bridges and mainplate alternate between sandblasted and polished surfaces and laser-etched decorations.

Its construction is designed for robustness and precision thanks to its variable-inertia balance wheel held by a solid, double-pointed bridge. Coupled with a silicon anti-magnetic balance spring, this system allows the Calibre MT5400 to operate within a tolerance of 6 seconds (-2 / +4) on the fully assembled watch.

Another notable feature is the power reserve of the Calibre Manufacture MT5400 which is described as " weekend-proof ," meaning 70 hours . This allows the wearer to take off their watch on Friday evening and put it back on Monday morning without needing to wind it. Even if you need to take your weekend off, your watch doesn't.

STEEL OR RUBBER BRACELET

The Black Bay 54 comes with a fully satin-finished, three-link steel braceletquick-adjustment system TUDOR "T-fit". Easy to use, requiring no tools, and offering five positionsadjustment window across the entire bracelet length 8-millimeter. The clasp features a ceramic ball bearing , ensuring smooth and reliable closure while providing a pleasant tactile feel.

The Black Bay 54 can also be fitted with a black rubber strap. The strap is available in three sizes, equipped with the TUDOR "T-fit" , and for a perfect fit, it can be cut to the exact width of the wearer's wrist. The inside of the strap features the signature "Snowflake" , which enhances grip and is specially designed for the Black Bay 54.
