Oyster Perpetual watches are the direct descendants of the original Oyster, the world's first waterproof wristwatch, on which Rolex has built its reputation since 1926. Certified as a Superlative Chronometer, the Oyster Perpetual boasts chronometric precision, the water resistance of its Oyster case, and automatic winding of its movement via a Perpetual rotor. Understated and elegant, it is distinguished by its clean and timeless style.

The models feature a three-link Oyster bracelet that ensures both security and comfort. It is fitted with an Oysterclasp folding clasp and includes Rolex's Easylink comfort extension system, which allows for length adjustments of approximately 5 mm.
The Oyster Perpetual is crafted exclusively from Oystersteel. Specially developed for Rolex, it belongs to the 904L steel family, alloys primarily used in high-tech industries. Oystersteel is exceptionally corrosion-resistant, boasts an outstanding surface finish after polishing, and retains its luster over time.
PRECISION AND RELIABILITY
The Oyster Perpetual's case is guaranteed waterproof to a depth of 100 meters. Its case middle is machined from a solid block of Oystersteel. Its case back, edged with fine fluting, is hermetically screwed down using a special tool; only Rolex-authorized watchmakers can access the movement. Another element playing a crucial role in the watch's water resistance is the winding crown, equipped with the Twinlock double waterproofness system, which screws securely onto the case.
Depending on its diameter, the Oyster Perpetual is equipped with the calibre 2232 (for the 28, 31, and 4 mm models) or the calibre 3230 (for the 36 and 41 mm models), self-winding mechanical movements entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. They deliver high performance in terms of precision, power reserve, shock resistance, ease of use, and reliability.

This designation attests that each model leaving the brand's workshops has successfully undergone a series of tests conducted by Rolex in its own laboratories and according to its own criteria.
