Clean the inside
Submerge the nib of your Montblanc fountain pen in another glass of water. Make sure the water is clean, lukewarm, and free of chemicals. Once the nib is submerged, return the cone to its normal position by turning it clockwise. Repeat these steps until the excess liquid coming out of the magazine is clear.
